MQR Equipment Guide

Equipment GuideAn annual A4-size publication sent out with the Jan/Feb issue of MQR Magazine and packed with 1,000s of specifications of plant ranging from bucket crushers to wheel-washers. Designed to aid buyers in purchasing the right plant for the right operation, the MQR Equipment Guide lists all contact details for the major manufacturers’ targeting the quarrying and aggregate recycling industries. But the Guide is more than just a list of specifications. Alongside the wide-ranging plant information you will find useful and informative articles for aggregates plant buyers in general. In this year’s edition you will find a 2008 plant market overview from the president of the Construction Equipment Association Colin Wakeham as well as timely advice from the HSE’s Principal Inspector of Quarries Phil Smith on health and safety considerations when buying plant so you don’t fall foul of the law. Product Recycle

Product RecycleProduct RecycleAn A4-size magazine supplement focusing on the processes and business behind a full product recycle of reclaimed material. Past examples include following the progress of C&D waste from a West Midlands regeneration project where material from the demolished buildings was used to help build a new school in the same area (see picture right). Another looked at the use of blast furnace slag as a means to reducing carbon levels in UK construction. Subjects for this year include recycled roads and recycling for the Olympics.

Other Supplements

RAWOKMQR produces a range of supplements to the main magazine based on reader interest. Recent examples have included Object Knowledge, which focused on the business benefits of getting involved with tyre recycling and Recycling And Waste (RAW) Plant, which offered readers plant solutions to recycling problems. Future supplement ideas include further Object Knowledge supplements, Green Plant,  Legal Matters, and an end product plant specifier.
