Welcome to the website of MQR - Minerals Quarrying & Recycling
The lines between traditional quarrying, recycling and waste management continue to blur. Government pressure through initiatives such as the Strategy for Sustainable Construction calling for a 50% reduction in construction, demolition and excavation waste being sent to landfill by 2012 are helping to reshape markets.
As waste is reduced, minerals permissions cut-back and buildings materials increasingly recycled, having access to a news and information resource that reports on developments and acts as a voice for those adjusting to this ever-changing landscape is vital. MQR seeks to be that resource.
